                 Department of Computer Science PRR &VS College,VIDAVALURU, had been established as in 1998,whenthe college introduced restructured courses in 1998-99 in B. Sc (EM) with Maths, Physics and Computer Science and in B.A with Economics, Statistics and Computer Applications (EM) . 

 OBJECTIVES:

• Train the students to develop problem solving abilities using a computer.
• Demonstrate to use new design methodologies, operating systems, computer languages and other software development tools within reasonable time constraints.
• Design and develop computer programs and understanding the principles and working of hardware and software aspects of computer systems.
• To enhance skills and adapt new technologies for attaining professional excellence.
• Inculcate to develop professional skills related to software industry that prepares them for immediate employment.
• To prepare the students for graduate training in some specialized areas of computer science effectively for software development.

HARDWARE FACILITIES: 

• The department has well-equipped laboratories with state-of-the-art computer hardware and software. The hardware includes 20 desktop computers.
• The software facility at the department includes popular operating system platforms, programming language compilers, development tools, DBMS packages, etc. Both free and proprietary software packages are used.
• The entire department building is covered with Wi-Fi wireless network connectivity
• The department has latest teaching aids for smart classroom.
• The department has two Internet connections (one connection is provided by the University through an optical fibre cable while the other connection is a BSNL broadband line).
