Red Ribbon club is a movement started by the Government of India in schools and colleges through which, students will spread awareness over HIV and AIDS. It envisages instilling charity mind among all students to extend their able help towards developing healthy lifestyles, donating blood to all needy by promotion of regular voluntary blood donations.  Apart from this RRC aims at harnessing the potential of youth by equipping them with correct information on mental health, substance abuse, nutrition and reproductive and sexual health and building their capacities  as peer educators in spreading messages on positive health behavior in an enabling  environment.

Vision: Red Ribbon clubs are envisaged to instill among all the students the values of service    develop healthy life styles, and increase access to safe and adequate quantities of blood to all the needy by promotion of regular voluntary blood donation                                         

Mission: To promote responsible citizenship, develop professional skills, and employ effective leadership by offering venues to learn from proven leaders, network with committed young professionals and serve the needs of the community.

Goal:To reduce the occurrence of new sexually transmitted infections (incidence), particularly HIV, among youth and to inculcate blood donation among youth.

Objectives:

To prepare youth as peer educators/agents of change both among youth as well as society at large by developing their skills on leadership, advocacy, communication and team building

To increase awareness among youth on sexual reproductive health and HIV/AIDS.

To impart skills among youth on self-protection, negotiation, and effective group interaction.

Making Blood Group Directory.

Observance of Important days.

 Educate youth with correct, concise and adequate information.

 Enable youth, especially the female students, to identify and understand situations of   exploitation and abuse.

To instill life skills into youths to live better and healthier life.

Create among the youth a cadre of peer educators
